Default Anyone use Anze Engineering?

looking into getting a set up frmo them with Penske shocks. they seam to make some great peices. modify brackets to use on the Z, and make the rear better. and allows the alignment of the shocks to be better. just curiouse if anyone here used anything form these guys.

maybe if i was going to race my car full time would i consider these. these sound a bit too harsh for daily or street use

understood. and the car is going to see its share of track ussage. but a Z being a sport car most aftermarket suspension is harsher... seeing some run 16+Kg spring rates doesn't make running this suspension that bad. bumps are bumps when tyou start stiffening stuff up to that extent. ya know? but for my use, its a practical thing especualy when the otherss I was looking at are around the price range of a penske set up.

comparing spring rates from one brand of coilover to another brand of coilover is utterly useless

Penske's are in the $6k-10k range, and are for full out track cars...I don't know of any off the shelf coilovers that are anywhere near that cost.

not the ones from Anze. he has all but springs. . he uses penske shocks and makes all brackets required to install on the Z and modifies where aplicable.. ussual quotes from him are from 3000 and up for all 4 corners for the specified aplication we discussed.. could be less with single adj. units, and what not. that with out springs. the triple and quad adj. are up past 6K. no use for those. and yeah the rates vary from one maker to other. I'm not slamming it down inches for looks or riding high *** spring rates that some do as well. from what we've discussed there are applications and set ups that work fine for driving here and there and great on track. then those that are only for race applications.

The question still becomes, do you need a coilover that is double or triple adjustable? A triple adjustable is not the easiest thing to setup (I know, we have them on one of the track cars), and requires far more than just the coilovers themselves - you need the datalogging equipment, and the knowledge to use it, and that is expensive, and a very time consuming process. Double adjustables have their place, but again, for under $2k, the KW V3 does that - I'd still submit that such features are beyond the scope of what the vast majority would/could ever make use of. I'm in no way discounting what the place has to offer as they could be a great setup. But if you aren't familiar with setup/logging required for what they offer, it's still a waste IMHO, regardless of price. You could do more for yourself, and the overall performance of the car by keeping the stock suspension, and spending that $2k on a few courses at VIR/Road Atlanta, or similar performance driving schools - and you would be faster as a result. Doesn't look cool in a signature on a message board, but it makes you a more informed driver

"Track use" is the most overhyped word in this industry in the past 2 years
