Default Caster Questions

I was told the Kinetix Rear Camber/Traction arms allow for adjustability of caster. I'm no expert on suspension... just read this article, being uneducated on what caster was: http://www.familycar.com/alignment.htm#Cas so why would I need to adjust caster for the rear tires... there's no steering involved there is ther? Would lowering my car 1-1.2" affect caster and handling adversely?

Help! I just got my alignment done (went back to stock springs - see sig) and the "cross caster" is not within spec. Individually, they are within spec. Is it possible then that one side of my car was sitting lower than the other?
Caster readings are:
Front Left
7.6 degrees (7.4 to 8.9 range)
Front Right
8.5 degrees (7.4 to 8.9 range)
Cross Caster
-0.9 degrees (-0.8 to 0.8 range)

I just tossed my car around a little bit and talked to the alignment guy at my local Nissan dealership. He said the suspension may be bent? but I haven't hit any bumps. He didn't seem very helpful, he actually got kind of defensive, as if I was questioning his ability. Dude, I was asking for his expertise.
Anyways, I can make the car squeal turning right, but I can't hear the tires squeal turning left, which makes sense. The front right has almost a whole degree more of caster, so it will hold better (your weight shifts right when turning left). Please help with my speculation. Thanks.
