I stripped the threads on my ball joint stud. Does anyone know of a any shops that can make a new die? I've tried the rethreading tools from my local auto parts store, but without much success in a new thread.

replace it. I can't in good mind recommend you attempt rethread...the ball joint will turn, which will make things quite difficult. I've R&R'd literally thousands of balljoint nuts and never stripped one....how exactly did you manage this?
