Default ABS Question, Electrical

Ok i've got a bit of an indepth question here, hoping someone has some insight.

We're trying to get the factory ABS unit to work on our race car, which has no factory wiring. Now idealy the ABS unit would work on its own, but being as the Z is a modern car with modern problems, CAN bus communication comes into play. The FSM calls for the ECU to tell it RPM and TPS, and that seems to be about it. Although naturally its going to want to communicate with the rest of the car's modules as well I'm guessing.

Does anyone know if the ABS system will opperate without connection to the rest of the Can network? What about JUST the factory ECU? Is the BCM or IPDM required?

If any of you guys have any input here it could save me a lot of time, I appreciate it.

IPDM for sure unless you individually check eachwire. Why did you remove all the wireing?

What do you mean by individually check each wire? It's just the CAN bus network that these things communicate on, so unfortunately its not a wiring issue but a programming issue, something I know nothing about!

The car has a motorsport harness and isn't using any of the factory nissan wiring or control units

yeah well they all com. between the modules but they have wires you can get away without some. have you looked into aftermarket systems like race logic.

BCM would not be needed but i fairly sure IPDM would be and ECM would be for sure. you would have to look into which wires feed in and out of the abs pump im sure some will go to bcm to make lights come one the cluster and things like that. As long as you had power to all your sensors and signal to the control unit, in theory it should work i will look into it and get back with as much info as i can.

Race Logic is just traction control for cars that already have ABS (or I suppose, F+R wheel speed sensors)

If you can find some info that would be great, Thanks Jarred!
