Default Sway bar

I test drove a 03 lowered z today and it had a sway bar. Whenever i drove the car it would make a knuckling type sound and the owner says that this is the result of the sway bar. Can someone elaborate or is he full of it?

first off, all Z's lowered or not have sway bars. with that being said he is correct that some make noises if pushed hard.

Ah thanks very much, i meant an aftermarket one sorry.

Also his exhaust said Hyper on it, i want to say it's a tanabe or hks but the text wasn't that fancy. Sounded good anyhow.

OH and his Short throw shifter..Occasionally it would make a combo of bumping or clicking noises. He claims its nothing and thats what sts do?

HKS does not have any writing on it. and tanabe says tanabe.

Sounds like a failing endlink, due to the stress of the aftermarket sway bar. This is a common problem for all Zs. I have the same issue.

+1! Replace endlinks.

That should solve the problem.

Before you go and buy endlinks, check to see if the bolt for the endlinks are loose, you'd be surprised.
