Default new brakes

just picked up a set of brembo brakes to install. i got the 6 piston gran tourismo kit front, they look like the gtr brakes but the brembo rep said they are way better. that the gtr brakes are good but are considered OEM brembo. that the aftermarket is way better. brembo just released a new 4 piston kit for the rear. i think i grabbed the first one. its not in the catalog and they gave me a great deal on it. all red with white letters. includes all rotors, calipers, pads and ss lines. im getting them installed at function tuned the beginning of january. Brembo said that they were marking all there prices up starting 1 january. ill get pics once the install is complete.

oem brembo's for sale in the brake section.

Now I'm wondering why all of the big brake kits were going up in price in the next few weeks???? Do you think they sell more during the winter? Or during racing season????

Kind of sounds like you got duped. Especially if you're figuring your sales off of the new inflated price list for 09.

I went from 4 to 6 pistons on the front and 2 to 4 pistons on the rear. Plus bigger rotors. OEM brembo is not the same as aftermarket brembo. A four piston front setup OEM is not anywhere as good as an aftermarket brembo 4 piston kit. The OEM is factory spec. The same is true onthe 6 piston GTR brakes. The OEM brembo on the gtr is not ad good as the 6 piston aftermarket kit by brembo.

He ask you what was wrong with your oem brembo's, not what the difference between the new and the old was.
