I've been very pleased with driving on their products in may platforms including: M3, 350Z, S2000, CLK63 Black Edition, 135i, MR2 Turbo - off the top of my head.

Sure their are better racing dampers. KW also have a racing line of dampers that have won the 24 Hours of Nurbugring, FIA GT races/championships, WTCC, ALMS, and many more.

I've driven on 2 of their racing dampers and also thought highly of them.

But seriously. I'm essentially in the same boat as the OP. I want to max around $1500 for suspension. After having so many negative experiences in the past I've decided I want to do it right this time. I've been doing soooo much research and have scraped so many different suspension ideas it's not even funny. Though, I think I'll start reading through your past threads (as advised by others).

You definitely just threw out alot of information that is over my head but I'm trying to learn it as well. Thanks for the information, I really appreciate it!

I had the GR+ Pros and upgraded to the KW Variant 3s and I must say they are definitely a step up in just about every aspect.

I do think the GR+ Pros are good coilovers for the money but not a great comparison considering the price difference. Under $1500 I'd probably go Bilstein... trust me, pony up an extra $100 if you had to, it'll be worth it.

Why?

Because of intended use and how you brought up a single word that we don't see brought up hardly ever,....."damping".

Bilstein Pss10 $1595 shipped from this board sponcers ad.

Bilstein PSS9's for the win. Go with the 9's join the club and awesome set of coilovers that are still awesome but just not the 10's.

Worth every freakin penny!!! Unbelievable in every way.

There's my .02

They were on Cheston Chiu's 2008 USCC runner-up 350Z that had the fastest road course time compared to cars that had triple-adjustable JRZs, Penskes, etc...

They worked very well and made the car's ride quality (on the street) much better than the coilovers he had on the car before.

I forgot to add that KW fine tunes their damping and spring rates through their 7-post (aka: shaker) rig. Not many short of an F1 or NASCAR team has, let alone accesses one. KW bought their shaker rig from BAR-Honda's F1 program. Kind of neat to know that their street products are tested on an objective and high-tech piece of equipment rather than educated guesses from motion ratios and shock dynos.
