I would personally stay away from the airbag suspensions. A "Cup kit" maintains your coilovers, so handling is not adversely affected. With an airbag kit, your car will typically handle like crap (there are SOME exceptions).

Not currently available for the 350z, but on that link, they ask you to send a request if the system is not available for your car.
i e-mailed them and told them to make it for a z

we should get a bunch of people to do this so then they will make it!

I put a thick 10' piece of alum. in the dip @ the end of my driveway. Bolted it down with a bunch of concrete bolts and never worried again.

I'm not sure about the KW kit...it only provides 1 3/4" more lift. It's not worth the money or effort to me.

Maybe asking for 3+ inch lift is to much? I don't know for sure, it's not like I plan to drive down the highway like that. It's just so I can get into driveways. Anyones driveway not just my own.

I am having doubts about air bags, it doesn't seem sports car like. Maybe DR is right. I can't risk lossing the handling the car has, that's the fun part. Although i'll still keep looking into them.

With that said I found something. Another cup kit....
http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2823
And their website:
http://www.airforce-sus.com/airtank.htm
I sent them an email asking for more info. But so far the price is better and it's all in one.
Springs included. Still high priced, but not like the roberuta.
There is another forum about this kit if you want to read more:
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/club...nsion-kit.html

I hope the links works for other people. They still seem to work for me, but maybe there is some cach on my computer that enables them to work for me. Sorry. The point being the Air Tank Cylinder System (ATCS) is a cup kit that looks identical to the Roberuta kit. I hope you can see it on one of those links.

Anyways the best part. I recieved my reply email this morning from them.

"THANKS FOR WRITING AND TAKE INTEREST OF OUR PRODUCTS.
AS FOR 350Z, WE DO PROVIDE 2 DIFFERENT TYPES OF PACKAGE.

VIP PACKAGE : $1349 / IN-CAR MANUAL CONTROL PANEL
DELUXE PACKAGE : $1499 / REMOTE CONTROL

SHIPPING NOT INCLUDED."

Now that's a better price. I told them there was a forum full of guys interested and if that was the best price he had.....lets see what he says (i'll let you know)

I'm going to search for some reviews on the ATCS and hope someone else has a good opinion of them. But hey its a cup kit that cost $1349. That's so much better than $2900 + $2000 for springs. Yeah I know the springs on the ATCS may not be great, but I hope to find some review about them. And really mine are stock springs, so could they be worse? I think this is a winner. Oh the lift you can expect from these are 6-8cm... (max 3inches). Close enough especially if you only lift the front and leave the rear low...better angle.

I'm getting excited now.

(updating my post) The company emailed me back to say the price quoted was for dealers only. I'll post the consumer price when I hear from him again. sorry.

No it's not compatible with other springs...it comes with springs as a kit.
That's the best I found.

Plus I recieved another email stating the quoted price was for dealer only.
So I emailed back asking for the real price. Crap I knew it was to good to be true.
I'll let you know what he says. damn!

someone needs to mfg a roberuta type kit and sell it for $1000. i think we just need to find sources that mfg Pneumatic Pistons, air tanks, and a control unit that controls the air then get some high pressure lines. so who's up for that?

Well after being told the price I was quoted was a dealer price for the air force cup kit, the only place I can seem to find them still is that www.i-tunedparts.com site.

And I think they are the best bet for what I want.

I am thinking about ordering them. It's not a $1000, but it's not $5000 (w springs) like the roberuta type kit. I think in the end being able to drive more places will be worth it.

So before I spend hard earned money, do you guys think a max of 3" lift will be enough to again here and there as I drive? 3 inches seems small but it would double my clearance height now if I had them.

Is the Air Force cup kit worth it?

Yeah, at that cost I could just replace my bumper yearly.

There are some air suspension companies that have shown improvements in old 50's-70's American cars with airbag suspensions. That said, anything would be an improvement on 60+ year old suspension designs and I'm 100% positive these cars would have had better results with coilover suspensions, or even just converted from leaf springs to shocks/springs. I would NEVER put air suspension on my Z.

Sorry guys I was about to order the Air Force Cup kit and I got layed off from work last week, I had Lasik eye surgery the next day (already scheduled and paid for). I was seconds away from sending my order when my OLD boss called me into the office.
I guess it was good timing since, I don't need to be spending the money right now. But until I get things going again, i'm not buying new toys for my car.

WHEN...I get things on track i'll probably order then and i'll make a new post and tell you all about them. I did push for the Air force company to offer the cup kit cheaper in the forum, I hope he posts something.

Until later...i'll be working on finding a job...maybe start my own business. I do computer renderings and graphic design, should be something out there.
