Default need advise with suspension setup.

I'm looking to upgrade my springs and shocks. I have an 05 Z with the revised rear springs. I'm leaning towards Eibach pro kit or hotchkis springs with Tokico D specs. I really don't need an adjustable shock, but my understanding is that the Tokico blues are OEM replacements, so D spec it is. As for the springs; Are there any draw backs to the Hotchkis being that they are softer than my stock setup? I don't auto cross, but I would like to try some drag strip runs from time to time. Bottom line is I like the feel of my OEM setup, but I want a lower stance and somthing usable at the drag strip.

you would be better off getting the whole Tokico d spec kit with the springs and struts, vs running the Hotchkis springs. Or, Cobb springs are made by Hotchkis, but were designed specifically for the revised suspensions

I'm in the exact same boat as you are right now. The research I have done as got me leaing toward the whole D-Spec kit. I found the whole kit for $650.00, which isn't bad. It should provide a good 1" drop and normally doesn't require a camber kit.

Anyone with actual installed experience on the D-Spec Kit? I am looking to buy before spring but just like 05Z33, I don't want to lose the OE handling capabilities.

Yea, I think I'm going to have to save up for coilovers. I just don't really need anything adjustable. I just want to install my suspension and leave it alone, but I guess I'm asking for too much. Anyone have any good recomendations on a setup for my needs?

KW Variant I/Eibach Pro Street
Bilstein PSS

If I were in your boat, these are the 3 that I would use on my own car

No valving adjustments, geared torwards a balance of comfort and performance, allows adjustable height, all under $1300 shipped, and fantastic units for these cars.
