Default Cusco A arms VS. Ichiba?? Anyone?

So I'm sitting here looking at my brand new Cusco A arms (which are for sale BTW ) and am looking at other brands online. I'm beginning to think that they are the SAME exact piece, except for the paint. I know some of the Asia-Pacific companies tend to buy parts manufactured by other companies, and stick their name on it.

Can anyone confirm this?

look at the ball joint mounting holes, they are identical the welded on reinforcement plates are also identical to that of the cusco, it appears from the Ichiba pictures.

The problem is this. Ichiba claims their A-arm will correct camber, ie will provide up to +3 of camber. The cusco arms are a "negative camber" arm, and will only supply +0.5 camber from stock. (I know these numbers will all vary from car to car, but these statements are a general estimate from the manufacturer)

does anyone, perhaps a supplier, have any Ichiba A Arms laying around that they could grab some measurements off of, so that we can determine if they are in fact the same piece or not? If the distance from the chassis mounting points, to the first mounting hole are different, then I would believe the Ichiba arms will correct for too much negative camber.

I've already read of one person stating that their Ichiba arms do not provide the positive camber they advertise, and when they tried to call them, no one answered. This is the only info I could find on Ichiba arms though.

I am interested to know this too. They look exactly the same. I am in the market for one or the other. I personally am looking for more camber and hope to obtain between -2.5 and -3 deg (i know it depends on how low you are, tire and etc) but dont want to buy something that cant even get me close.

Ichiba looks like good value if it will do everything cusco will do.

This is exactly why I went with Ichiba.

Anything beyond +1 to +1.5 or so is not possible without severely limiting upward suspension travel, if the adjustment is done on the upper arm only. This is because the pivot of the upper arm will not be able to clear the fender "pocket". So the claim of +3 with just the upper arm alone, is incorrect.

As far as numbers varying from car to car... the specs are usually given relative to the stock arm, and that would be accurate. If the spec is +0.5 from the stock arm, that means that if your car is currently at -1.5 on the stock arm, you will be able to get -1.0 (ie. -1.5 + 0.5).

It is impossible to get 3 degrees of positive adjustment by moving the ball joint mount location so ichiba is incorrect, like kuah stated

does any one have real world knowledge of how much negative camber you can get with each unit?

on paper they say different things, but appear like the exact same unit.

I dont think my budget allows to buy SPL arms, so I think cusco or ichibia will what I will be buying, however I want the arm that can get me the most negative camber.

I have the Ichiba and they claimed it would give -3. I bought them and they maxed out at -2.5. I tried calling them but they ditched my calls over and over again, left messages, emails..nothing. I would go with Cusco over Ichiba any day, atleast if you encounter problems youll be able to talk to someone about it.

Ive heard they can be modified to reach -3 degrees. But i would just rather go with SPL or 350evo arms for that much camber.
