Default Rear traction (Toe) Arms - Problem

Not my picture (reference only)

So here is my problem. While installing my kinetix arms i took the original bolt out and it was real short for some strange reason (not the one which was suposed to go there). I bought a longer one like the one i had on the other side (other side is fine), but it wont go in.

It seems this short bolt was doing all its pressure on the first two turns of the screw and they got messed up, now the new bolt will not go in because of this.

Ive been told ill have to make a new screw, but this is pita since there is such little space to work. Any ideas? Ever happen to anyone?

Sounds to me like you cross threaded it and chewed up the threads. Now you know to start threading your bolts by hand first before wrenching down on them.

No, it was the bolt that came from factory was too short. It was doing all the pressure on the first two turns. I can see it on the bolt. Thats what messed up the threads.

Even if the bolt was too short and seated too early, I don't see how it's going to mess up the threads if properly threaded.

Well its our only theory, because the bolt came out but wont go back in. We havnt messed with it, and it makes sense that it would mess the threads if it was doing all the pressure in those begining two turns only. I use this car only for track so it goes through alot of abuse. Im just glad that arm didnt come out flying before.
