Dropped on tein s techs... Toe is out of spec. Need suggestions
Just dropped on tein s techs and my toe is out of spec. Steering wheel is a bit to the right even when im going straight. The question is i'm waiting for a week or 2 before I get an alignment so I can let the springs settle fully. Is daily driving with bad toe going to affect anything? btw I drive 7 days a week about 80 miles a day. Heres a cellphone pic.
Edit: Went to get an alignment and here is the before and after. BUT on the way home Toe came back out of spec. I have no clue what happened. I didnt hit any large pot holes that I remember. The steering wheel is to the right again even if im going straight. and yes I do have 35" wheels on my car

That's weird. I used to be on S-Techs and those are a very very mild drop. I'd tell ya to get toe bolts for the rear but I'm really not sure how your steering alignment is so far off, or why it's off at all.
Hmmm....I'd take it to a dealer and get a loaner for the time being. If your toe is indeed off....it's gonna eat tires like crazy. Toe eats tires ten times quicker than camber and your car is gonna handle really funny.

I think I will go in for an alignment soon. If it makes any difference im running 20x9.5 fronts and 20x10.5 rears. 245/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears. 25MM spacers all around. Should I put my stock 17s back on for now?

My '08 has tein s springs installed and after re-alignment it's just fine.
Mine was really screwed up after a coilover installation, just made it as straight as I can visually by adding more negative camber before alignment. rather have camber than a massive toe in. It was pretty scary driving w/ the messed up toe setting
Yes I agree its handling very weird. I installed the rears myself and had a 350z shop install my fronts so I have no clue what they did. I want to wait till the springs settle before alignment but it seems like I should go in right now.
Most places that do alignments around here come with a one year warranty. Why not go and get an alignment now, then come back and have it done again for free since you would be under the warranty. Ive been doing that for years...
after I had my springs installed, I waited about 50-100 miles... but the springs were used when I got them... and after one alignment I was fine until I got camber arms installed again, then I had another alignment done.. since then, I've been fine.
I would suggest looking for members who have 20's and see if it throws off their toe alignment having a wheel that large. I know one member who had 20's and he had a -4 camber...
