Default Good but Inexpensive Replacement Shocks

What do you recommend for a good but inexpensive replacement shock? I'm trying to find a happy medium of a good replacement shock without spending serious $. Otherewise, you start entertaining adjustable shocks and coil overs and I'm not looking to spend that kind of $.

Thanks for the confirmation. I wanted to make sure that the HP's weren't crap or if there was another alternative that I might not have been aware of.
