Default Nismo springs worth it?

So after my new wheels arrive, I'm quite sure I'll be needing a drop.

20x8.5 +20 w/ 245/30/20 rubber
20x10 + 20 w/ 285/30/20 rubber

So, with this setup I've been heavily looking into the Tanabe NF210 springs (1.2") because I feel that is a good size drop and from what I read, its not a harsh ride.

HOWEVER, in order to stay loyal and still stay within the standards of Nissan, I'm giving some thought to the Nismo S-tune springs (0.8") I'm considering these because I know my dealer can do the install and will cover the springs. My only problem with going with Nismo here is that I'm scared the drop won't be enough.

Anyone with any Nismo spring experience? Is 0.8" enough of a drop on 20's?

Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks!

S-tune shock and spring setup vs NF210 springs on oem shocks (any shock for that matter). = no contest. Of course that's from a ride and drive point of view. If the Nismo shock and spring drop isn't enough for you, IMO I would go with Eibach Pro-S coilovers WAY before I'd consider the NF210.

Nismo S-tune shock and spring setup 350Z (twin tube, fixed height)
.6"/.6" drop (as shown on page 10 http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/microsi...ar_catalog.pdf )
Spring rates 448/504 (front spring slighly progressive, rear progressive

Eibach Pro street S coilovers $999 - $1200
Drop range on 350Z 0.8 to 1.6" front same for the rear.
As per Eibach they are relabled KW variant 1 coilovers, springs are a different color simply because Eibach has them refinished red vs yellow.

Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1.2”/1.2” drop
Spring rates in LBS 314/353
Beware, a 1.2" drop spring is no increase in stiffness vs oem

2003-2004 oem spring rates
314/342

2004.5-2008 oem spring rates
314/427

interesting info. thanks, man. So, you're saying for performance I need to go the way of the Nismo S-tune spring/shock setup over doing a Tanabe spring. When you say to beware of the 1.2" drop without any stiffness increase, how bad is that? I feel like the Z is pretty stiff the way it is...are the Nismo springs/shocks that much of an upgrade over the stock Z suspension? I want good performace out of lowering my Z but care heavily about the drop - I want it to be low enough and am concerned about a 0.6"-0.8" drop.

forgive my ignorance...I do thank you for the help!
