Do new rims call for new wheel alignment?
I just bought Volk GT-7 rims 18X8 and and 18x9 both utilizing a 29+ offset. Out of curiousity since these wheels are more or less made for our car concerning offset do I need to do a wheel alignment after I install them? Most likely yes through intuition but I wanted to know froms someone who knows. This is probably a stupid question. Thanks in advance!
Not a stupid question, but yes you would want a new alignment.
As for why, the mating surface of every wheel is slightly different from others so your alignment will be affected. Be sure the dealer, and I suggest going to a dealer, has had their machine recently calibrated.

Thanks for the info on the alignment. Are there better wheel alignment shops out there other than the dealer? I'm trying to avoid the long waits for service especially with high volume dealerships like Nissan ofcourse. If the Nissan dealerships do it the best then I'm willing to take the time to get it done there but if there's something better out there I wont hesitate either.
I had the same issue but I tried Goodyear twice and they didn't get it right. The dealer got it right the first time. It was more expensive than either one of the two I had done at Goodyear, but much less than what I paid for both of them...
