Default Lowering With A Thick Tire!

Hi all, I got another lowering issue and hopefully someone can help me, my wheels are 17x9 front +30 offset, 18x9.5 +20 offset 245/45/17-255/45/18, I want to lower my car using springs (Thinking about Megans, -1.25 F&R) but I don't know if the rear fender will hit... Can I get away with this without rolling my rear fenders? It looks like it will hit if go that low but will the camber help me out at that point? I really just want to fill in the gap... I'm gonna post pics tommorow so you guys can get a better idea... (BTW I know i have to get camber and toe and adustable arms so thats not a problem)... Thanks!

I think you'll be alright, those arent that thick. I have 18x9.5 in the rear as well, but with a 275/40 lowered on tein s-tech and i'm in no danger of rubbing right now.

besides, you can always get your fenders rolled if you actually do rub

I'm running 18x9.5 wheels in the rear with 295/35-18s. lowered 1.2in on Tanabe GF210's. I don't even come that close to rubbing.

Hey Thanks guys, Now I'm debating on which springs to get, I thought about Megans, but I'm reading some not so good reviews on them... And now I'm considering the Tanabe springs but I can't decide on the GF's or NF's... I read that the GF's have a higher spring rate and will most likely eat up the stock struts, right? JT how are the GF's treating you? Are you on stock struts?

Just roll your fenders anyway, took me a half hour to do both and it came out perfect. Just find one of your buddies with an Eastwood roller, and pick up a heat gun from Harbor Freight for 8 bucks. You'll eventually want to slam it with some aggressive offsets, its in our blood!

I'm running 295's on a 9.5 with a +5 offset with no issues. Fenders rolled on stock camber.

You should easily be fine with that drop without having to roll. Your offsets aren't that aggressive nor are your tires that wide.

I wouldn't worry about it.
