O, if i remember correctly if you go below 1" you going to need a cambering kit.

Ask yourself these questions, then find a brand you like and search for reviews on it.
1.DD only?
2.Little track and drag?
3.autoX?

If you aren't planning on tracking it, go with the STANCE LX's.
If you are planning on tracking it, go with the STANCE GR+.

Simple as Pie

As mentioned, you are not going to get a "good ride" from rolling dumped. However, there are suspensions that are more forgiving than others. I'm running a lot lower with my Zeals than when I was slammed on my JIC FLT-A2's, and they feel a lot better than the JIC's did by far.

Just like everyone else say..you gotta sacrifice a lot to ride slammed and aggressive. That's the price you gotta pay for..you could get airbags and have it slammed whenever you park or what not and raised up wherever else you drive.

Well,...............350Z Jic FLT-A2= top 3 worst ride quality suspension you can buy for these cars. A Zeal setup riding better isn't too much of a surprise.

OP should chase the lowest spring rates he can with the drop range he want's from a brand name he things he can trust. Stance LX+ spring rates are too high to delivery better ride quality resluts vs other systems that use a more appropriate amount of spring stiffness. Spring rate does NOT operate in a vacumm

I guess if the chart says it, it must be true

I've been in a Z with them - they are not nearly as comfortable as a comfort oriented unit should be. They behave nothing at all like other units out there with more logical spring rate choices

considering its from the company that makes them, and to risk falsely stating what they are made for, would be stupid. but i guess your a vendor who rode in 1 persons car, that may or may not have had them set for soft (comfort) setting. must mean you know all about them. im not here to pump these coilovers up, but im telling him the facts from experience with these coilovers, and what the manufacture clearly states they are made for.

to the op, clearly its your choice, but the stance lx, is a very good choice for what you want

You misunderstood - their chart is relative to their other units. Perhaps among their other units, they are considered their comfortable unit. Compared to other coilovers on the market though, not so much

each of their coilover suspension has a different chart for what each is for. i understand that they are not compared to other, but nonetheless are a great choice.

We're beating a very dead horse, especially since the OP hasn't even replied here.

I guess you and I have a vast different definition of great choice. If by great choice you mean they are cheap, then I may concede. If by a great choice you mean they will let you virtually drop the car on the ground, then yes, you're right. If by a great choice you mean they are comfortable, then it begs the question - compared to what? Certainly not comfortable compared to a stock Z, and certainly not comfortable compared to other coilover choices on the market. The mounts were also very noisy

Jim did everyone a favor by making this post - it should be stickied IMHO as it contains some very helpful info for people

https://my350z.com/forum/7110399-post3.html

If you were to input the spring rates of the LX into the wheel rate formula {Wheel Rate = ( ( MotionRatio^2) * SpringRate ) * sine(Spring Angle)}

you would see they are hardly anything to write home about.

There are no perfect units out there - they all force the user to compromise something. For the OP, I would suggest an airbag setup
