Ive got a power steering leak. Now I have narrowed it down to a certain section. It is between the powersteering pump, and the power steering line that connects to it that has a connector on it.
Its weird because Ive been driving around for a couple months knowing that it leaks. I just would refill the powersteering container every couple days. Ive tried the fluid that has the leak stop stuff in it but that didnt work. The leak doesnt effect my steering because it is still easy to control.
I finnaly took the time this week and took off the pump and the 2 lines that go to the steering rack. Now does anyone have a good way to test these lines? I was thinking about plugging one side and compressing the pipe and listen for the leak. Im guess that would be the best idea now. How about the pump, how can I test that? I think that it is fine but I just want to make sure.
Thanks
