Hotchkis sways

any big difference between the older version and newer version?
there is a set of the older version sways for sale. pretty good deal i think.
but has 3 wholes in front and rear. while the new verion of Hotchkis sways has 4 whole in front and 3 in rear.

well seems like the newer ones are much stiffer!
should i get the older version and save a couple bucks?
OR
are the newer stiffer ones worth it? btw for street use only.

Anyways, out of all the mods I was doing when I was N/A, the Hotchkis adjustable sway bars that I purchased back in 2004 were the biggest performance increaser I bought (until I went FI). Unlike the air intakes, headers and exhaust which really didn't make any noticeable improvement, the Hotchkis sways provided more than noticeable improvement in reducing understeer.
I purchased them and as I drove home, I tested them on a very tight curling freeway on-ramp. All I remember is that before the sways, the car had some understeer and it wanted to go off to the outside of the turn nearly hitting the guard rail (forced me to go much slower) but WITH the sways on, the car was very neutral and di EXACTLY what I wanted it to do and I probably did the turn maybe 8 mph faster than stock.
They are still on my car to this day and are of excellent quality. I don't think you need the extra notch as I don't even use mine on it's stiffest settings. If they are used, just check for any signs of fatigue, cracks, dents etc but they are very thick so they should be in great condition.
I have a 2003 350Z with the orignial Hotchkis sways. Have them set at middle hole front and rear (maybe even the least stiff hole in front, haven't checked in a while so I can't remember exactly where I left them). I agree that they have made one of the most significant improvements in overall driving feel.
They've worked quite well for 150,000 miles now.
Only problem with going stiffer on the sways is that both of the rear brackets that attach the vertical swaybar link to the suspension arm have fractured.
I've done a lot of track days and AutoX, so my car has been driven quite hard, and the sways have held up very well.
