Default Tire Wear and Alignment result of Megan Racing Springs?

I recently purchased an 03 Touring Z from Autotrader. Long story short, the previous owner had some Megan Racing springs (http://www.amazon.com/Megan-Racing-M.../dp/B001D4OZBC) installed to lower the ride. Obviously this has affected and created unwanted positive camber on the rears I know. I'm running the stock 18" rims and consulted a friend about what to do to avoid purchasing tires all the time (even more than the stock Z). So I figure I have three options considering something needs to be done because the Z is clearly going to burn tires and I'm feeling some alignment issues when driving (not due to tire pressures). Now this is my first post so please try not to flame too hard.

Three Options:

1) I have the stock springs, just install those and get an alignment check.
2) Install these adjustable control arms and get an alignment check to finalize adjustment http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EI...050K/?rtype=10

3) Install these eccentric bolts that are cheaper

Thanks for the help.

Welcome. A lowered Z will eat tires. Its the price you pay for looking cool.

Camber arms and alignment may work.

OEM suspension will work.

Go get an alingment.

Peruse the information given and you will know where to start. (ie: camber, caster, and toe settings)

Incorrect toe setting can eat tires faster than camber.

I usually have my wheels unmounted and mounted on the opposite side they are on. ie. fr> fl, fl>fr same in the rears. I am using directonal tires and I do this approx every 5k, I am on coil overs and they are not camber adjustable. Make friends with 1 of the guys at the tire shop where u do biz, mine charges me $10.00 wheel.

OR go back to stock!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm thinking about just going back to the OEM springs and getting the alignment done. Seems like the best option and I could sell the Megan springs.

So looking over the FAQ page for suspension, the rear camber arm kits and toe bolts from SPC look to be the 'right' thing to do. Anyone found a good deal on these items recently and where?

Any difficulty installing?

the SPC camber kit would most likely be your best route and install is simple. you don't need traction arms for adjusting the Z's rear suspension. toe is definately the greatest factor in tire wear. i daily on -2 degrees camber all around and have no issues.

Exactly!

REAR:
you need rear camber arm (brand is up to you) and rear spc or alternate 3 degree toe bolt.

Front:
either roll with neg camber or buy Front upper control arms!

NO more "whats needed" threads:
