Has anybody tried to press out the bushings on the stock front camber arms? It looks like there is a lip on the outside edge of the stock bushings. I can't seem to find a way to support the ends of the arm without setting the lip on the arbor plate.

(i realize an easier solution is to buy aftermarket camber arms but I am looking for a cheaper solution. The only two companies that I know of who uses stiffer/solid bushings in their camber arms are SPL and Stillen. However $600 for SPL or $850 for Stillen is outrageous (imo).)

 

It's not the easiest thing to do, but anytime I've had to bush an aluminum part I would press on just the rubber first. Once the rubber is out you can weaken the metal sleeve with a jab saw. You don't have to cut all the way through just cut enough so you can collapse it inward with a screwdriver. When re-installing you could try heating the aluminum up to about 3-400 degrees but it's not usually needed. I use a piece of super heavy wall pipe for most press jobs, it works well.
