I am thinking about getting these for my Z. I only DD the Z and never drift or autox. I just want a bit better ride for when I do drive harder and have some fun. Would these be good for what I am looking for? Also how low can I drop them with out needing a camber kit? Any good or bad things I should know about the LX?? I can get a great deal on a new set of these.
yes, get a camber kit if you want a decent drop. if you dont want to mess with camber kits, just want a mild drop with a good ride and decent performance get the hotchkis tvs1 kit which includes lowering springs, front and rear sway bars.
then do what nexx said, or just get the springs.... but if ride quality is what you want, then search to see what coils are nice and comfy.
but keep in mind that stance is known for SLAMMING cars, ppl buy them with the priority in dropping the car as low as possible NOT ride quality.

Agree with the others, but what year is your Z? Even with a spring change early 03 and 04 cars have shocks that need to replaced if improved ride quality is what your after. 05 and beyond shocks are fine.
Something you should know about the Stance LX is just how stiff the springs are that the kit uses.
Stance LX+Pro Twin tube, adjustable damping, ride quality system*
Spring rates: 616/560"
Notes:*Sold as having a "luxurious ride quality" because of it's twin tube contruction. However, you can have the best dampers on the face of the earth, but it won't matter with springs as stiff as this setup uses. If your after ride quality, buy HKS III, Bilstein PSS10, or Tein CS. Even Kw Variant 1, Eibach Pro-S and Kw Variant 2 would be a better choice.

I've read a few good review's on the S-OC's in the past, ride quality was one of thing things that stood out. Hotchkis sway's spec well and are adjustable front and rear, good choice. I also like Progress and H&R.
