Default 2007 cross member interchangeable?

Well just took my Z in for an alignment and was told it seems like the cross member is bent and needs to be replaced...

I talked with the guy I bought the car from and was told he will replace it. But I want to check if the older Z suspension is the same as the 2007 350Z suspension... because he has couple 350Zs and I know most likely he will take the cross member off an older Z (03-06) and put it on the 2007. Would these bolt up? would it fit correctly?
oh forgot to mention its the rear sub frame/cross member.

any way I can check to see if the cross member is bent?

thanks.

Tunnel stays, pin braces, rear sub frames, they are all the same between 03-07.

Since it's a alignment shop and not a body shop I'd really quesiton their motives in saying the rer sub frame is bent. I thnk if ever shop that had a difficult time getting a G or Z to align evenly side to side blamed a bent sub frame as a cause, we'd all be replacing them.

What were your after specs for toe and camber?

Well since I just bought it from someone with a little shop who sells car. he agreed to replace it for free but since he didnt have any newer 07-08 Zs. He told me to buy the part from a shop by my house and he will pay me back, got a rear cross member off a 2008 350Z Nismo... (this should fit right?)

Gotta talk to him and see when he can change it out now.

I know before I bought the car, it was hit on the rear right wheel and that had enough damage to total the car out but its been fixed now. So I'm thinking that hit was hard enough to tweak the sub frame. car drives straight but toe is off in front and back.

Actually this is not the first time that I've heard of an issue regarding the rear subframe and obtaining a proper alignment. I believe Nissan did update the rear subframe sometime during the 2007 or so model year. They even changed the part number.

Never head of that, how did the discussion about a update come about? And why change in the last year of production, especially with a shrinking pool of vehicles still using the FM1 platform? Front springs have changed part numbers in the Nissan computer 2 times 03 to 07 without actually changing the part itself. Not saying it's not possible, just wanting to know how or why the discussion would have taken place about a sub frame change.

Nissan has been public about chassis related changes in the past, though they did not tell us that part of the 04.5 revision included a stiffer front sway, nor did they tell why 06 shocks changed.
