Riddle of the ride height and the devil's wheel gap.
Breaking my vow of never posting for this one. Car and myself went through a few mid-life/indentity crisisis this year and I have an unattractive mess on my hands.
So...
S-tune suspension
+
275/40/17 X 4
=
Livable front/ jacked up (literally) rear.
I can't figure out why its that high and the math is giving me headaches.
Its sitting pretty much at stock ride height 26.4/27.5 (spec is 26.81/27.56).
The tires are 25.7 overall diameter uninstalled 25.ish on the wheels.
Stock tires are 25.9/26.3 uninstalled; not sure about mounted.
At this point I'm probably going to get SLP mid-links+camber arms/swift springs matched to the front rate and drive it till tax time and then finish with __?___ coil-overs and the rest of the SLP goodness.
Any insights/temporary solutions/commiseration/flaming/joking/etc is welcome.

It is an optical illusion because your tires are same diameter all around. Its filling more than stock gap in the front, and less than normal/stock in rear. It just appears higher in the rear.
Springmount mod for temp fix of the rear. take 1/2 to 3/4" off the mount. Dont waste money on swift springs and just wait for coils.
Change front tires to smaller diameter for perm fix after coils.

A couple times at Cal Speedway and WSIR I had 350Z guys come by and tell me my car was sitting too high and that I needed to lower it to make it handle better.

They still said the same thing after I ran laps 6 to 9 seconds faster then them and their lowered cars. BTW... in that picture the car is running 285/30-18s all around on stock springs.

Took driver's side apart, no 1" block of wood under spring like I was hoping.
Almost cut the mounts but didn't have a precise way of doing it. Also it seems ghetto.
Can someone measure a stock 17" with 235/50 overall diameter for me?
This is so I can compare what my theoretical S-tune+stock wheel tire gap is to pictures of other S-tune/stock gaps.

That's uninstalled/no weight on it. The 275/40/17s I have are listed at 25.7 total diameter. On the car they are just over 25. So the stock tires are 26.3; I'm assuming they compress similar to about 25.7...so I gain .6ish wheel gap. Right now it does need gas but I measure at:
Front 26.25 with 1.5 gap.
Rear 27.75 with 2.75 gap.
The ride height does not make sense. It should be -.8 from the springs and -.35 from the sidewall reduction.

When I swapped from my 255/35/19's front, 285/35/19's rear to 255/40/17 all around (Before I dropped it and had it realigned) I looked liked I was driving a 4-wheel drive 3/4 ton Z.
