Removing front shock
Guys, i need help on removing the front shock. Well, the bottom bolt of the shock. No matter how little or high i jack up the place right below the bot shock bolt, the bolt won't move. I got the endlink off by jacking up a little bit though.
Am i suppose to jack up somewhere else? Someone said jack up the sway bar and not the lower arm. If that's true, do i need to put the endlink back on?
I got pissed and used a wrench to keep loosening the bottom bolt. There is no more thread on the bolt haha. Is this bolt only be bought from the dealership? Do they have them in stock?
help
EDIT: This bolt is the problem: http://www.courtesyparts.com/56127n-...4_715_800_802&

if you got both sides in the air...small tap of from a dead blow hammer should be just fine..
no threads? just go get one from autoparts store...autozone should have them and they are M12 1.25 iirc take the other to make sure to get the right length and thread pitch ( I think its 40 or 50 mm)..
how the hell did you manage to take off all the threads - thats NEVER happened to me on an install before..

The front shocks can be a pain from all I have read but the fact is that in the end most poeple do it. It demands patience. At any point where you are feeling frustrated, take a break, if there is a football game going on, relax and enjoy a little while your mind is somehow on those shocks. It is not about how long it takes you to complete but about the fact that in the end you can look at the car and say "Yes I did it". I am gonna be installing mine soon and that would be my approach. Good luck

Please tell me you have jackstands under the chassis and not under the control arm!!!!! You need to have the weight of the car off that bolt before you remove the bolt.

Small tap of a dead blow did not work for me I just kept on unscrewing and later, i pushed down the suspension to get the three top nuts out of the place.

@AcidJake75 if you keep unscrewing the shock body of the stance front coilover, does it fall off? my stock shock and stance coilover have big difference in length. Probably stance being 5 inches lower than stock.

Wow, i can get both arms off the car in 3 minutes. Hell i was playing with my suspension tuesday after work, it took me an hour to put my BC coilover, install the Moton coilover, make adjustments, then install the BC back in. Today i will get the full set of Motons installed.

ok now I installed the ine side of coilover. I bolt everything back on but there's is no room to put the wheel on lol the coilover doesn't drop down in which I have no access to the a arm what soever or the wheel.
should I unscrewing the ahcok body? I did about 3 inch..

Here is the front drop. I think i dropped about 1.5 to 2 inches But i want to go .5 inches more!!
The problem now is that there is no way the alignment guy can adjust the top nut of my SPC arm because it's so damn close to the top wall.
