EVERYONE thinks helpers springs do this, THEY MERELY KEEP YOUR MAIN SPRING FROM BOUNCING/MOVING AROUND WHEN THE WHEEL IS AT OR NEAR FULL DROOP (wheel off the ground). However they will act as a spacer and create more preload (effectively raising the car and possibly hurting the handling characteristics if pushed too far).

As stated, Stance's discription is internet fluff for sales people that do not know what they are talking about who are speaking to buyers that equally do not know what they are talking about. What they are really offering is the ability to dial in more rear droppage then would otherwise possible. Not suprising that they do not warn you about that happens to bump stroke should you utilize the added droppage.
The link provided show's that the helper spring is 95lbs in rate (IIRC I measured Bilstein's Pss9 helper spring at 105lbs). As is it's intended function in life (in honest circles that is) 95lbs will not change the rate that a piston shaft will extend in a meaningfull manner. Simply put before anything could really happen because of the helper spring, the damper is going to move on to something else.

Hey G35Sedan, while we're on the topic of rear droop, on the OEM style setups that allow shock height adjustments... I would imagine this is only good for adjusting the amount of droop and not ride height because the separated spring's preload. But this is just my guess and I have no applied knowlegde on this platform. What have you found, does shock height affect ride height in the OEM rear setup?
