? about highway performance w/ aftermarket suspension
Hey everyone... I'm going to college in a fairly small city, and every time I want to go somewhere I naturally hop on the interstate. I'm really sick of my neck hurting every time I go for a 2+ hour drive somewhere on the bumpy interstates. I would get new 18" rims/tires to smoothen out the ride but can't do that right now, so I'm considering suspension. I am particularly interested in the Tien w/ EDFC. How does adjusting this make ride quality on a bumpy interstate better? I would like to ask a few questions of everyone.
1. What suspension mods do you have?
2. Is your suspension tigher through turns/straights?
3. Is bumpiness reduced/increased?
4. Is ride height effected?
Thanks everyone, this will make a huge difference in my decision on what to buy.

1. none yet (tein Type Flex sitting in my room)
2. yes, from my driving experience with skidazzle's blue beast.
3. depends on stiff or soft setting. stiffest setting imho is not too much more harsh than stock, and softest setting is just a tad softer than stock.
4. depends on what you adjust it to. it can be low to the ground or just like stock if you wish.
I would not recommend the Tein Type FLEX w/EDFC for you, since the ride isn't a significant amount softer which is what I believe you're looking for.
I would recommend the HKS Hipermax LS or the Tein Type CS (gold ones
)
Those 2 are the part of the luxury line of coilovers. They tend to have lower springs rates than typical coilovers.
Hope that helps,
Victor
