Those 2 aren't even in the same class and the quality difference would be readily noticeable. BC may allow lower ride heights, but at that point you're changing the suspension geometry enough to adversely affect the handling. The "disassembly" of the front upper mount isn't hard and it's not really a con, but I can see why you'd say that since one has to reuse the stock part. The extenders aren't provided (not sure if available) but the hex drive that is provided is plenty long to do all the adjustments (top of the rear strut tower must be drilled to allow access, though).

Come to think of it, I wonder if it's actually advantageous to use the stock upper mount since it may reduce NVH versus aftermarket uppers.

Re: rear ride height, you mentioned you are tucking about 5mm in the rear with 285/35/19. Theoretically 275/35/19's are 7mm shorter than 285/35/19, so assuming we put 275's on your car and changed nothing else you would have 2mm vertical clearance. That's actually not too bad.

285 t0 275 is a 7mm difference, that actually equals 3.5mm per side on the tire. So you will only have 3.5mm more gap when you install those tires, hardly noticable.

I can tell you that 285 fills more fender gap than 275.
I'm getting an alignment done right now. The Z is lowered on Bilstein Pss10 coilovers.

I will take a few shots of my Z on 285/35/19 vs another member with exact coilovers on 275/40/18. The gap differences are very noticeable.

I have 285/40/18, which is 685.03 mm tall versus 677.67 mm stock tire height (assuming 245/45/18). That's a difference of ~3.7 mm, hardly anything you'll notice.

I believe the top of my rear quarter panel arch is ~26.5" from the ground, the fronts are ~25.25".

When are you doing this? I want to see both of your cars and compare since that was my next coilover choice.

Took some pictures today. The front can go lower, but the rear is at the lowest setting (but can go another 1/4" if one collar is removed).

And thanks, Wais.

I think I am going to take the collar off of mine... We will see though. If I don't do it this summer it will be next summer

Here are the 275/40/18 shots...(I'm assuming Kuhan is talking about my car)

Very dirty but you get the idea of how low it actually is because of the key.

These are the bilsteins pss10. Ill try to get better pictures eventually..
