Default end links

just got both in the rear installed and noticed I could wiggle them with my fingers side to side. is this normal for our car or are they supposed to be tight with no play?

Are they new stock replacement links or old aftermarket links?

There should be no play, but they should operate smooth enough that they cause very little resistance for smooth operation.

If the nuts are torqued to spec, then they should not wiggle.

Do they rotate at the ball joint or do they actually wiggle with play?

Wiggle is not normal. Even my worn 60k miles endlinks had no wiggle at all. They rotate with very little resistance, though.

only move left to right if I use very light pressure on my finger tips like if your rolling a booger with your thumb and index fingers. they don't move any other direction tho

That doesn't sound normal to me.
You might want to shake them harder and see if it's just the nuts not being tightened.

But then, I might be wrong. If they are new they should not have any play.
