So I purchased some Akebono ACT815 pads for front brake job on my 2006 Base.
I tried to install, but they wouldn't fit. I returned them for another pair (online).
Supplier sent the same model.
Every website I go to and put my cars details in, it recommends the same ACT815 for an '06
These look way too small

I go to my local auto parts store and the cheaper ones they bring out for my car look like a perfect fit.

Were the brakes and/or rotors changed? Will a set of Akebono ACT888, which are recommended for a 2007, fit my 2006?

'06 and later base brakes are the standard Nissan big-car front calipers (early 2000s Q45, mid 2000s Pathfinder/Armada). The earlier 350Z front calipers were Nissan's standard mid-size caliper (Altima/Maxima/I30).
