Default Ohlins DFV vs Road and Track

Anyone know the low down on the Ohlins Road and Track coilovers? To me it looks like the updated version of the DFV with a new adjuster, same spring rates and a change in the shock tube coating for better corrosion protection.

Any indepth info would be awesome

Ohlins USA claims there were never DFVs for the Z33 chassis released officially by Ohlins.

I assume that you mean that it was never officially released by Ohlins USA to the US market evern though it was available in other sectors for the Z33.

Putting mine on this week. I got them in January, SPL UCA's were back ordered till last week so its been a sucky wait. I did put them on for a week. For some couldn't loosen the height adjuster, was really tired after install and lowered till it looked good on the preload only.

Amazingly there was no rubbing (275/40/17x4) and they handled better and were more comfortable than Nismo-S. Didn't want to auto-x that way so I swapped back.

2 things suck: torquing the nylon nut to spec on the front is a *****, I should have had something machined exact to hold it.
And the adjusting wrenches slip off easy and it feels bad to scratch $3200 parts. I'm gonna get a Shockwrench perch set and replace the springs with Swifts so I don't have to deal with that.

Thanks for the heads up let us know how you go. In my case i'm tossing up the idea to keep my PSS10's and have them revalved with stiffer springs or go with the Ohlins. The PSS are great for the street but find the rates a little to soft for liking.

The only reason that the C-Spanners may slip is either the keyways are not cut true or the c-spanner grip points are crap. The Shockwrench adjustors look nice but why do u need to replace the springs? Are the seats surface area the wrong size to match the ohlins springs or the internal ID of the springs wont match the seat?

PS: Don't worry about the scratches as the stones will take care of that

I love mine, but making the adjustments is hard. Where do you recommend getting the socket wrench perchs? Thanks.

TRhrust washers under the spring also make them a lot easier to adjust.
