Not really but have read some negative post about the Jics as well so I don''t know at this point We'll keep working with the Teins to see if they get better and I can work out the bugs, noise.bouncing and inconvenance. The only thing I like about it is where the car sits at the moment. Looks very aggressive....

Depends on your definition of best ride. To me best ride means very stiff. It could mean soft to you.

So what's your definition? Will it be a daily driver? Are you going to AutoX?

Eibach takes most of the hammering away while lowering 1". Still hangles great.

Probably something in the middle b/c the car is a daily driver but it is nice to feel the road too. I thought one of the points of coilovers was that you can adjust the dampening so you can have the best of both worlds??

That's true but some coilovers have softer springrates than others.

i don't understand that statement of taking most of the hammering away.. ---do you mean it takes the stiffness away.
i do not care for softer suspension.

if you ask 100 people this question, you'll get 100 answers..maybe more

What are you using the car for?

if its street only, I'd personally recommend the Cusco Zero 1 or the HKS Hipermax - both are the most comfy around town ones I have been on yet. Cusco is a very simply coilover - jsut rideheight adjustment, not dampening adjustment. Trust me this is not a bad thing - some of the units that are dampening adjustment have a negliable difference between full soft and full stiff.

Also, what kind of budget are you trying to adhere to?

mostly street ... not ready yet to take it out to the track

probably around $1,000. So the changes in dampening settings aren't that significant. I was actually thinking about the Basic Teins ... only around $800. What do you think?

Well the EDFC is in and I have to take back everything I thought about the Tein flex suspension. It's wonderful... I had the guys at Super Autobach's in Stanton install the EDFC. Coil overs and allignment were already done. I know, I know but check this out. They quoted me $210 dollars for install. That's all!!! They had never installed one in a 350Z before. At $70 shop rate thats 3 hours, Well I got the car back at 8:45pm 15 mins. to closing. Oh ya we started at 3pm thats 5 3/4 hours. I'm thinging $402.50 would be fair after all I've been quoted a lot higher. The total bill was $210 dollars as quoted. what a great deal (steal). I'm sure they know what to quote next time so don't expect to get a steal but I'm sure they will treat you right. They did a ultra clean job on my show car. Thanks Super Autobach you guys rock....

It's to San Diego tomorrow. Appointment with the GT Factory for their legendary lambo conversion. Got a killer deal there also.

The ride is somewhat softer. With stock I felt like i had no spring when I went over a speedbump. My body was the shock. Now the car feels like it has some cusion over bumps without any bad side effects like bouncing. Steering and cornering is just as tight.

I like the basic from a looks standpoint...handling is comparable to stock though it all depends what tires/wheels you want.

Not all coilovers have insignificant dampening settings...the Flex for the Z is not bad, but not a huge difference between full soft and full stiff

Adam, didn't you say that the basics felt (as far as ride) real similar to the Nismo S-tunes?? In other words, they were both mild upgrades from stock without going to more hardcore racing setups.
