370z brakes on a 350z?

Well I have 4 sets of wheels and every single time I've bought a set... the sheer size of the Akebono's have been deal breakers for other wheels(I'd have 6 sets if they were Brembo's). The Brembo's have a better pad and rotor selection, not to mention they're similar in performance.

Apparently neither do you... explain to everyone why a Brembo equipped Z stops sooner than a non Brembo equipped model?

Sounds like a good enough reason. I always thought 14" rear rotors were a bit much also. I picked up a set of rear brembo's I will be rebuilding soon to compliment my front 13" bbk. I didn't want 14" rotors in back and 13" up front....

Actually this is a point that I've seen in alot of magazines so I looked it up and it's really not much different in any of those categories 370 has a curb weight of 3232 lbs where the 350 is 3247 the 370 has a wheelbase of 100.4 inches and the 350 104.3 and the 370 has a width of 72.8 inches compared to the 350's 71.5 inches so from a braking and handling perspective with the similar weight distributions the cars should handle similarly.

My Father has a Z34 w/the sport package and I have a Z33 w/Akebono's... I've driven both cars and the braking between them is completely different.
What input other than driving a Z do you have on the braking matter...

Can someone please explain to me how the 370's 0 to 60, 1/4 mile time, or that whole useless post has anything to do with akebono brakes on a 350 related to the brembos except for the part about him driving his dads car? And my experience is that of a mechanical engineer who took many classes on high performance vehicle design let alone owning a 350z with an akebono kit on it so thanks for the article but that has nothing to do with akebono performance on a 350z compares to the brembos which you're previous post (obviously not enough said) seemed to have an opinion on

I just quoted the whole paragraph rather then just the specific facts we were discussing. I see your point about the Akebono vs. Brembo when it should be Akebono vs. Akebono. You referenced information about the 370z and it's dimensions in comparison to the 350z and their braking should be similar due to the similar dimensions. You asked why I switched and I provided my reasons.
