Default 370z brakes on a 350z?

sorry if this topic has already been discussed. looking to upgrade my calipers and was wondering if the 370's will fit the 04 350z (non-brembo of course)?

thanks in advance

Yes they can. I read an article in Super Street about it.

awesome...very reasonably priced kits...and they look great! if i hadn't already had the stoptech stage 2 these would be the kits i would look into for sure. i only need the calipers...in black...already have the rotors and steel braided lines. gonna go with black...if they sell them seperately.

that will definitely be my next mod

Problem is these calipers are not all that great, have limited pad selection, and the rotors are as heavy as a boat anchor. Their one positive attribute is they are large.

I'm very positive your rotors would not work with those calipers.

hmmmm...might have to reconsider. actually, the stoptech stage II kit is working very well for me. i don't track and i my z is a daily driver. i've got great stopping power as is right now for my needs.

i thought maybe just the 370z calipers would be a nice upgrade...but if they won't work with what i have, or the stock rotors, i will have to pass.l

They (just like any other BBK) don't really have any more stopping power. Do you even know what a BBK does?

I'm sure there are

Whether they are worth spending any money on is another question entirely

do you think they are a formidable upgrade over the 03 base brakes? I am tracking the car every other weekend....

You had to say it twice so it obviously was not enough said.

Bigger rotor = more heat capacity to resist brake fade due to pad overtemperature (as you might experience on a track) and helps resist brake fluid boiling as well

Bigger caliper supposedly = stiffer, more heat capacity here too

Better caliper design = easier to change pads

More pistons = more even pressure distribution on pads resulting hopefully in more even pad wear, beyond a certain point increasing # of pistons (pots) is mostly for show

More rotational mass = worse handling, worse acceleration

would it be better to go with a high quality bbk front only kit instead of going with a cheaper bbk f/r kit...they seem to be about the same price wise (around 2k)

Thanks...i guess...
