The statement below is used from a private Pm i sent to a member but hasnt returned a response, i guess he out of town or been busy. I have search the forum with Bouncy suspension, Stance problems, and so on with no luck in finding my answer.
I have the pre-load set at what stance had( 2 1/2 turns and then lock in place)<--atleast hopefully the mechanic did what i told him to do) what i have noticed lately when i drive around i have a bounce type action going over bumps at low speed. I have turned the damping up all the way and still have it. I was wondering is there a way to eliminate the problem(the feel) by adjusting pre-load on the springs?
Another question if i do decide to mess with the preload when you tighten it what effects does it have? or when you loosen it all the way before it not correct what effect does it have on the ride. aka tight gives you more stiffness or loose gives you more of the air ride feel.( i may have answer my ? on that but no question is a stupid question and only stupid if you never ask lol) Another question that just came to mind is if i do tighten more on pre-load what do you think is the max number of turns i should do before it at a point of damage or anything?
coil overs are stance gr+pro true coilover
Hope I explained my question well.

i have the true type too. 11K and 5K IIRC.
The ride shouldn't be bouncy. Maybe it's the bushings somewhere. Or try to tighten up the preload? raising the collar for the preload RAISES your car.

o, man time to break out the ruler if that happens :/ lol but before i do all of that work i wanna make sure if that will fix it or there something else. also i feel the car should be stiffer on after market coil overs not almost the same as stock :/ any one with experience please chime in please :0)
to answer your question, if you go too firm with the GR+ True rear coilover setup, i've always been told and kinda experienced, It'll bounce like that. Try lowering the dampening to all the way soft and work your way from there to get the setting you want without the bounce effect.
Preload should always be set at the lowest possible amount, just enough to keep the springs in place should any one wheel become unladen. Adding preload will not help the situation.
Reset damping to lowest settings
Lower spring rates (true coilover rear setups require special attention to rate change amounts vs oem rear setups)
Revalve if offered and ONLY if you can trust whoever is doing it (can't express how huge that is).
Bail and resell, maybe you did not purchase the right product for your needs. (Honestly, this is what I vote for, though softer springs shouldn't cost too much).

wait what you saying Gsedan35? I want it stiffer... why would i want lower spring rates? it would only soften up the ride, i want it stiffer. I got the stance gr+pro true coil over set up and what do you mean it requires more special attention to? also why would i want to revalve when i only had them sense sept of 2010? If im missing or not understanding something please set me straight.

That's just how I read it.
BTW, i run basically the same rates 12.4 front and 5k rear, no problems at all. Slight bounce, but that seems to be from the stiffness, the front springs are kinda like double the rate from stock. My coilover is not adjustable body, just preload, i know i have maybe 2mm preload in the rear and probably 7mm up front if that helps.

^ there we go that hit it almost. you get that slight bounce but it could be from stiffness. i was wondering if ther would be a way to have the stiff ride but with out the bounce or that something ill have to deal with and knowing everything is fine? if so ill deal with it but at least i have a peace of mind that everything is working correctly and only one thing still we on that coil over topic with i take right had turns going up a hill(20mphish entering my neighbor hood) i get this dongy, like when you release a spring and make that sound. when i was doing my search i kinda found something on this topic but one one was giving answer or a definite solution to the problem.
Sounds like your lifting a tire, stiff springs, stiff swaybars , less travel than stock, tires car easily break traction when approching an incline. Mine just snaps slightly, the jerk i feel is my OS Giken going to full lock.
