Default Function and Form coilovers type 2

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has heard of these? or has them on their car?? cause i'm wondering if its bumpy or anything after you installed them. Cause I've seen them for sale on craigslist for $850 and it seems kinda cheap... so i looked reviews for them and there were none... If you have them on your car just give me any info about them please. Cause I dont want my ride too be too bumpy.

Thanks

I have had them on my Z and it was pretty low with room to spare... The ride was a little bumpy, but you can expect that from being dumped.... I sold my Z, and now have a G35 sedan... I just installed them last nite(same set that was on the Z) and to be quite honest, they don't feel that much different from the stock sedan suspension... As for how low I am, I'm barely tucking the top of my 215/55/17 tires... I have exactly a 4" clearance from the ground to the front bumper... I have my dampening set at 16 F/R( half way)... I can go about 2 inches lower(even though I don't plan to until I get my wheels)... GL

I've had these on my Z for a while now. I didn't notice much of a difference from stock suspension( a little more bumpy but not much). Im not slammed but I'm sure these have enought room to do that if I wanted. I did have a problem with them though. On the rear strut mount(lower part) the nut that was welded on was too small to reuse the oem bolt.
Example:
Couldn't reuse oem bolt here

Notice the nut is just a tad bit smaller than oem

This was as far in as it would go(wouldn't even thread)

I just called up F&F, explained, and they knew exactly what I was talking about. They said they were aware of the problem and it has been fixed. I guess mine were one of the last few that slipped out
So they shipped me new ones(only took 2 days and I didn't pay for shipping) and those bolted up fine.

I only bring this up because you mentioned buying used. Other than that, I'm happy with mine

Thanks alot guys.... How is the installation on them?? are they easy to install on your own? I want to install them myself to save some $$ but I want to make sure their installed correctly so thats why i'm a little unsure if I should do it myself... And I was just wondering how much you bought them for? cause i found some for $825 and i'm just wondering if thats a good deal.

Thanks again

Rears are easy(did it on my own)
Fronts were a little more difficult(had a friend with a lift help me)
and I'm not really a mechanical type person. Look around the market place and PM some vendors, I can't remember for sure but I think mine were a little more than that and I bought them brand new.

Like Bebo said, the rears are cake! You should only take about 30 min per side(not including time spent on adjustments)... The fronts can be done by yourself, but it will be kind of difficult getting the strut out of the car... My pops helped me with the front by stepping down on the brake caliper so I can pull the strut out... Putting in the new coilover is easy and can be done on your own...

Oh, and $825 seems like a good deal for new ones... For used ones, I would say anywhere between $500 to $700, depending on the miles on them...
