Default Sleeve on compression rod ball joint

I bought some used compression rods because I think I bent mine in an accident and they are missing the sleeve that goes over the ball joint. I have no idea how the guy who sold them to me got the sleeves off or why.

I also see that brand new compression rods on Ebay do not have the sleeve?

My old compression rods have the sleeve but I cant take them off to put them on the other rods. How do I take the sleeves off the old compression rods? Some kind of puller?

Need help ASAP? Do they need the sleeve or not? Going for alignment in a few hours.

Can you post a picture of the sleeves you're talking about? I see rubber boots over the ball joints, which is what I'd expect to find.

Unfortunately I cant find a pic. The ones that have the sleeves are installed on my car because i didn't want to put on the ones without the sleeve.

Even if I go get a pic of the ones on my car with the sleeve they are hard to see because the sleeves sit inside the wheel hub.

I have a pic now. Found it on G35driver. http://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-s...al-crap-5.html

I've put the old rods back on and yes the squeeking got worse. I emailed Jason at Riverside and he is going to get me the part number of that "bolt stopper" on Monday. Seems to me like it is a necessary part. Hopefully I can get that part. I think I can change the rods in an hour now that I know what to do.
You can stop by the Nissan dealer and buy part #40173-33P00.

$10 each. I scatched up my old ones pretty bad trying to use a screwdriver. I didn't want to mess with a pitman arm puller to get the old one off. Not only did it get rid of the squeak, but it doesn't seem to drift to the right anymore. I need to get another alignment just to make sure.

Better pic. I'm missing that. I thought I had to buy new compression rods and I already pressed in new bushings.

you are supposed to remove the black cone from your old arm and install it on the new arm
