Because we tune in our shocks and not just our springs, we can let the suspension do its job. Instead of giving you a high spring rate and sacrificing drivability on the street, we give you a proper spring rate for the tuned shock to handle, and let the shock do it job, which is to control the springs compression and rebound movements.

With that being said the springs being used are a progressive spring. With a progressive rated spring, at each point of compression the rate changes. I will soon have a range listed for the springs, however in the end, spring rates don’t mean much without the proper shock tuning!
Tom you can say that again all you have to do is drive the OEM 350Z shocks to see what poor shock tuning will do.

Mike

I will have to speak to my engineers to give you a range for these progressive springs.

Unfortunately with progressive springs there is no real "rate" I can give you. Because at each compression point they change, there is no one number to quote by. If I can catch my engineers tomorrow before they are off for the holidays, I will see what I can get for you as far as range numbers go.

For driving impressions of these springs PM Steve from MSM, ask him how they felt to him.

Guys, I have recieved the requests for the kits that I will give the "Special" intro pricing too. At this point, the best price I can offer is with the group buy. All we need is 10 people to get this pricing. I already have 1 confirmed, and just need 9 more confirmations (2 maybe's pending). After the group buy, pricing will go back to our normal pricing..

So, c'mon guys, the group buy is an awesome opportunity to get a great kit out into the marketplace!

MSRP is a suggested $1995. Our regular pricing is $1850 + shipping.

That's what makes this group buy such a good deal. It's $345 off of msrp and $200 off our regular price!

Question; all 3 Variants are height adjustable. What is the height range of the drop compared to stock?

well, all of the variants are height adjustable. The difference between the stages is the level of dampening adjusment allowed with each system.

As for the amount of height adjustment, I don't know exact numbers, I will try and get those from KW. For a reference though, when I first put mine one, before I adjusted them down, the car sat at stock height. I have since lowered it, and it is down about an inch all the way around. There is also still quite a bit of adjustment left to go as well if I wanted to go lower.

I will try and get a more accurate answer from kw for you though..

I am actually not in my office, and wont be back in until the 5th. Unfortunately, all of my exact numbers for all of the different coilover kits are at my office, and I am about 5 hours away from KW right now visiting with family for the holidays.

Each coilover system is different for each type of vehicle. A Porsche kit will not have the same lowering ranges as the 350Z kit, because all the valving is different, and is designed to work at different heights. However, to give you a general idea, most of our kits have an initial drop of about 1 inch, and can be lowered to about 2.7 inches. The valving is designed to work within this range perfectly.

Once I am back in my office on the 5th, I will be able to give you all the exact numbers for the 350Z coilover. Feel free to give us a call at KW North America on the 5th, or give Steve at MSM a call with any questions you have.

Hope you all are having a great holiday season!

We finally got the spring rates!!! Here they are:

Rear: 240Lbs to 548Lbs
Front: 485lbs to 525Lbs

Remember this is the range as they are a progressive spring. Also, these are built to work in conjuction with the shocks to provide a great handleing car without having to run rediculously high spring rates.
