Hotpp558, I would like to encourage you to upgrade your brakes to the AP kit because I am interested in buying your stock Brakes from you. I'll give you cash to put toward your new brakes. Sounds like a plan to me.

Why do you want to upgrade? If you track, get track pads, fluid and SS lines. Save your money, you probably won't need any thing more than that.

nonsense. Have you ever taken your Z to the track? The stock brakes don't hold up. A friend of mine had smoke rolling out of the rear wheels after an 8-lap session. I saw it. The rotors aren't large enough to dissipate all the heat.

Mike W is right... Brembos are highly capapble at the track. I've done about 3600 track miles in my Track model Z and the Brembos have been great.

I use Carbotech XP pads at the track, OEM or Carbotech Bobcats on the street. I flushed the OEM fluid and use Motul 600. And I have Goodridge stainless lines.

That's about all you need for track events.

Man am I happy that I paid the extra money for Rays and Brembos on my track, rather than paying for leather and a Blows.

perhaps you guys are using the brakes too much at the track the idea is to be off brakes as much as possible.

If you are overheating the stock setup, trying getting a different compound pad and some better fluid as well as getting your rotors cut....will do wonders.

Don't you guys know that Brembo does make replacment rotors, drilled or slotted for the Track model brakes?????

Smithtown Nissan has been carrying them for some while now. So is Group 5 Motorsports in San Diego. They are less expensive than stock replacements from your dealerships.

I know they do, but they aren't 2-piece which sways me away. Which isn't a bad thing, I just like the look of the 2-piece.
