Stoptechs or Brembos?
Are there any advantages to running the Stoptech 332mm kit over the factory track Brembos, or vice versa? Is there any hard data out there comparing stopping distances or fade issues? How about replacement pad or rotor cost? Weight? Anything? Or are they roughly equivalent?
I'm tempted to go for the Track model for simplicity's sake, but I could def save some money by picking up the enthus and ordering up the Stoptechs. It would be even nicer that way if the Stoptech's ouperformed the track Brembos.

A brief responce.
Go for the Stoptech's if they reroute their brake lines....... It really depends on how hard you will drive on a road coarse. Stoptech's offer a larger pad area.....about 30%....give or take. AND a much larger/thicker rotor. A few track owners have found a need to upgrade to the Stoptechs. For the street....save your money.
At a recent PCA event, a friend's track with race pads etc., had to end his session early as he had over heated his brakes.......Me, an Enthusiast with 13" Stoptechs with race pads had no problem, even though I was cooking my brakes too.
If your buying for looks..........no advice, other than I like my brown hats!

Trackstar, take a look at this link: http://www.zeckhausen.com/testing_brakes.htm
I think you would be more than happy with our 332 kit. That's what I run on my 350Z. I was in the same boat as you were. I opted to buy the enthusiast model and go with StopTech's...and that was long before I worked at StopTech.
There are some advantages...the caliper is stronger. You can check out our website and look at this chart...it measures the deflection of our various competitors' calipers. http://www.stoptech.com/technical/ca...ctionchart.htm
Heat capacity will be greater in our 332mmx32mm rotor vs. their 324mmx30mm front...the price of the Brembo rotors is also out of hand (roughtly $2000 for all 4 rotors...which is the price of our front kit!). Our replacement rotors are only about $200 each. Benefits are numerous. We also do our best to support our customers and keep them happy. Ask any of the owners on this board or others.
