Are G and Z steering racks interchangeable?
Are G and Z steering racks interchangeable?
Need to replace mine today! Car-part.com lists Sedan, Coupe, and Transmission Type separate...I'll be using my current inner and outer tie rods.
The aftermarket non-OEM part number is the same for Coupe/Sedan RWD, and different for G AWD. So, I'm guessing I could use a 350Z, G coupe on my G as long as it's not AWD?
Thanks,
Aaron

Every junk yard I've called said the auto and manual transmission steering racks are different. How can this be?
It's difficult because they all have to take the rack off the car. I can't just go there and measure!

Courtesy Parts doesn't show different racks for MT and AT cars.
