Another vote for OS Giken, one of the best mods i have even done. They stand behind their product, havn't heard of anyone needing replacement parts yet, no rebuilds etc etc.

Best prices will be at www.nissanraceshop.com and ask for Scott or www.z1auto.com , but places will also set you up with the proper parts you need to install it right the first time. It is well worth the few hundred $$$ extra than you would pay for a different diff.

get an aftermarket LSD.

probably the best mod for the Z (even ones with the VLSD) second only to maybe a full sway bar set.

you can probably pick up a used Nismo LSD for less than 1k..

the Z felt so much better powering out of turns with an LSD installed..

coils didn't do nearly as a dramatic (positive) change as did the Sway bar or LSD..

You should get a LSD... I have a Base 05 and went with the Quaife and best mod ever. Night and day difference and my track time improved by 2 seconds!! Quaife has a lifetime warranty and is not loud at all. I read other people saying they can get sideways easy with their Quaife.

I went with Quaife as well. Practically maintenance free. I still change the fluid every 15K-20K miles, just because.

Changing the rear end fluid every 2K miles is a PITA

I say you actually attend these events first then worry about modding.
