So here's the deal... In Hawaii... We have a stupid requirement whenever we modify our vehicles, especially when modifying things such as suspension. We have to pass what's called a reconstruction inspection in order to get a recon. sticker to avoid $50 (BS) tickets... In order for that to happen... One requirement is that the modified car has to be within stock alignment specs...

My car is currently lowered about 2" on Megan racing "Street" Coilovers. I plan to lift it back up a bit in order to pass recon however... alignment will still be off. Im looking for recommendations on a quality brand of Rear camber arm, Front Upper control arms and... rear toe bolt. If it helps... I have a 2003 350Z enthusiast model.

Why not go back to the OEM height and alignment? It'll look better, and you won't have to worry about breaking the law.

My late first wife was in a serious accident with someone who had modified the suspension on his car, and the mods caused him to loose control when the car hit some irregular pavement. That's why they have the law, and I think it's a good idea to follow it.

 

To each their own I guess... I, as well as many others would disagree that stock height looks better... Many prefer it to be lowered for more reasons than looks. For example; many who track their car's prefer them to have it lower.

While they have that law for a reason, I don't think it's the reason you're thinking. It's more of a money making scheme for the state.

In Hawaii... we have two.. rather useless inspection stickers that we have to pay money to get. The first is the safety inspection which is $15 annually... EVEN IF YOUR VEHICLE IS STOCK... and the second is for those who modify their cars and have to get reconstruction...

*as for your second paragraph.. I haven't heard of a situation where someone who has properly modified their car, cause it to perform worse than OEM... Maybe if he bought generic mods and installed them improperly. In theory, most of these suspension mods are supposed to help your handling... not worsen them.

Believe it or not the vast majority of the cars on here actually handle worse than stock. The can can only be lowered roughtly 20 to 25mm before the suspension geometry goes to crap. Then the dampers and sway bar setting people like to run is another story.

SPL is hand down the finest parts you can get to return your alignment back to OEM specs.

your answers are there...if you dont understand it, then ask someone with some technical knowledge to help you...

your best bet is probably SPL front arms, from there the rear will always be tricky and regardless you will need an alignment everytime you adjust it..
