Last question (and please don't flame, for some it may seem stupid). Is it true that if the specs on a set of springs say 2 inch drop, the actual drop will be half of that (1 inch). I heard this from a friend of mine, but I am not sure if I understood him correctly. Basically he said whatever the specs say, just divide by 2 and you will get your actual drop.

I just installed the springs today. I must say.. all this worrying about rubbing for nothing. It hasn't even dropped near to what specs say. Actually the front is still same height, no change there.
Any opinions? Do I need to maybe drive it around for a week or so and let the springs settle?

Used a tape measure from the fender line to top of tire? Was I doing something wrong?
Specs: .6 in. front, .75 in. rear
Edit: lol I just now noticed your sig pic. Gave me a decent laugh

NO good... It *might be valid* or might not. You must measure from the center of the wheel hub (or ground) to the fender edge. Measureing just the gap itself is not accurate. Stock heights are published ( I think in owners manual?)..do a search and you can prolly use those but not as accurate as taking a *before* stock measurement.

Got the Z lowered about a week ago. Cheapest install total in my area was $285, some were asking $550-$650... how the **** do they get these numbers???
Anyway, I love how the "rake" is gone, now it sits level. Best of all, it now rides like a 2012 maxima, soft as hell...love it!
Thanks for all the help everyone! Pics below
EDIT: In the after picture the front fender gap looks pretty big, but it's not. Can fit about one finger and that's it.
