When you say that you cut it to where it was almost flat, you mean you pretty much cut about an inch or so right? I got started on this and my cut ended up being way more than I expected, I still haven't put the mounts back on.

very close to an inch yes. don't know exactly though.

Alright, I'm pretty sure I cut more than an inch. We'll see if it rides like chit or what when I put them back on. If they do then it looks like I'll need to make some calls.

Bump

If the spring mounts aren't cut PERFECTLY flat, could that cause any weird handling characteristics?

No it shouldnt matter. The worst that will happen is your ride height will be slightly uneven.

The Z never sits even anyhow, if I ran drop springs I may use the spring mounts to even out the ride.
