UCA Smacking- anyone do cut outs in the bay?
Since I lowered the Z my UCA smack the crap out of the upper section in the wheel well (yes I know this is common). But man is it annoying as all hell. I have heard and seen that you can cut away the two layers of metal inside the engine bay allowing room for the top portion of the UCA to travel freely up, eliminating the smacking. The one pic I saw didn't look so pretty, was wondering if anyone else has done this and has a better way. Was thinking of having the local shop use a plasma cutter to cut out that section, rather than a angle grinder. Also thought maybe using like a piece of aluminum shaped in a dome then spot welded back to recover the open area? Anyone done this sort of thing, or have any input?
