Default My BBK Sneak Peak

So since I've sold my G35 and decided to play around with the Z platform I've started getting my parts ready for this coming season. Thanks to a good friend of mine here on the boards I've got a very aggressive set of wheels and I just picked up my custom Rotora BBK which is an 8 piston front with a 405mm rotor and 6 piston rear with a 380mm rotor

I can't wait until spring!

And we don't want to, so the only logical thing I see is to install them as soon as possible!

405mm! holy cow. Must be on 20" wheels.

Too bad theyre Rotoras though. They a nice looking brakes for sure, but they have their drawbacks.

Nope the wheels are 19's. I've had StopTechs, Greddy and Wildwood BBKs but I like the Rotora setups. Haven't had any issues with the Rotoras but I have warped a few StopTech setups. I really want the Endless set up!

I'm just doing some small makeover work in the garage so hopefully in a week or two I'll be going to town!

What are the rest of the specs?

Must be a very low or negative offset. 16" rotors are no joke. Caliper will be very close to the barrel with very little clearance for bolts/nuts/spoke attachment.

The last guy that had a crazy Rotora BBK was RconFpz from florida. Pretty sure he had to run 20"s.

How heavy are the rotors?
That's a small hallway.

The setup is roughly 30 lbs per corner... I passed on Ron's setup a few years back.

Either way it's a whole lotta stopping power. Definitely disassemble the hats and rotors
and get those things sprayed fresh (don't pc them).

Yeah I'm going to disassemble the hats and rotors and get them resprayed. I've been talking with a real good friend who works over at Rotora in CA

Definitely one of the craziest setups I've done. These will be great for the morning M*******s (I live in Boston) that like to tailgate!

XKR (Dr. Mike) had the 12-piston setup too. He had to run 20's as well.

thats cool and all but did you have brembos before? if you slam your brakes and you can rip the tires loose then a bbk is a waste and doesnt do anything, at that point you need better tires.. brakes dont make you stop better tires do, i bet you the brembos with ebc pads will stop same as this setup if not better.. crazy size, will look nuts wow factor but not really a big change in function. PS i hate abs, try it with no abs and i guarantee you can lock tires without a bbk, better pads, better rotors better tires will out stop that..

I run 380 mm rotors w HUGE calipers on an 18"...

Really matters what the inner diameter of the wheel is.

I could find a 19" that'll fit - though most prob won't.
