Reinstalling the stock springs on a 04'

Which side is up on the stock springs?

 

There is 2 dabs of orange paint and one dab of white.

Does the painted side go up or down?

The stock springs are linear so as long as they seat properly I do not see why it would matter.

 

I think it does~ they are shaped differently on each end of the spring

It's been years since I had the springs out, but IIRC the "tight" side of the coil goes down. (the end where the final coil is wound tight against the coil just above it.)


I think it's easier to see on the rear springs.
