Damping Adjuster Broke Off

Damping Adjuster Broke Off
Hey all. I was doing some work on my car today and somehow when I was removing my coilovers the adjuster on the top of the shock that adjusts damping broke off. I am not sure how I did it, but regardless, it happened.
These are Zeal Function X coilovers. There is still thread down in there, but the **** broke off. How can I replace this? Can I un-screw the small nut in the picture that it threaded into and try to get the rest of the thread out and just replace it with a bolt of some sort for now? Will that release pressure in the shock?
I don't really have a lot of time before my next event and I am looking for a temp solution for now.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I'd call up Endless USA to see if that's how you would replace the adjuster before you do anything. Most likely the nut you see on the end is what you'll unscrew. By the looks of it the broken off bit is just a simple allen key.

Thanks!
I actually got off the phone with them a bit ago. Bad news. It needs replaced, well that is if I want to be able to adjust it at all, which I do.
I thought I would be able to remove that small nut and replace that or that assembly, but it turns out, it is all one piece that slides all the way into the shock.
They are also super backed up and aren't even taking request forms right now. Not for the next two months.

Well that's unfortunate. A lot of coilovers these days have a simple allen key style **** that doesn't go too deep into the coilover at all. Looks like you won't be adjusting the damping on your Zeals any time soon haha. At least you know it can be fixed though.

Bad news. I sent pics to Endless for the part that I need and now they're saying that part is installed during the manufacturing process and they will have to rebuild them. I'm not sure why that is the case, because you would have to remove this part when rebuilding the shock anyway. I would think they would have this part or at least be able to order it for me. Looks like it will be months again

I think I should have put
I can report that my stock suspension did pretty well this past weekend at my last race. I finished 2nd both days out of 6 cars. I was 2/10s from first on Sunday and have a new personal best at this track. I beat my best time from last year by almost 1.5 seconds and it is a small track. 1.8 mile course and my lap time was 1:19.4. Stupid Porsche Carrera beat me both days. I normally beat the Porsches, but this guy could drive well at this track.
Oh yea, and my best time was on old worn out 255/35/18 (cheater tires) from last year. I destroyed my 245's that I was trying to run this year, so that was my only option and they did very well. Running 275 square the rest of the year.

Do not let Fortune touch them. These are much higher end dampers and have very different construction then what they are used to dealing with. You need someone that is authorized to work on them. Someone that once they are opened, knows how they break down and go back together. I cannot stress how important that is. You want them to come back to you 100% correct, 100% the same as when they first installed them.
One thing to remember, dampers have very little mercy when it comes to damaging their adjustors. And higher end products with greater percision can be damaged by turning them too tight when you reach full soft or full stiff.
