Default STILLEN front core support brace

Hey Guys,

We have just finished up a new front core support brace which many of you saw on display at our May 17th open house event. There was a lot of interest on these at the show and we wanted to let everyone know as soon as they came out!

I might be wrong but I don't think that brace will work for Z's that do not have the HR motor.

It has been designed to work for the non HR motors as well. The only thing that will prevent this from fitting is the STILLEN strut tower brace commonly used with our superchargers, so it's one or the other. However, the OEM strut brace is fine.

Not to be a doubting thomas, but is this a point of much flex? I honestly don't know, so figure you can provide some sort of evidence this isn't just extra weight we don't need over the front end.

I need more info before purchasing.

For example if this brace is purchased along w/ the stillen HR intakes will they provide a package deal?

Any time you can remove flex from the chassis it's beneficial.. this is a great upgrade to increase chassis rigidity..

And as far as package or pricing, I'd encourage a PM or to give either our salespeople or authorized dealers a call.

Default Stillen front support brace to do or not!!!!

First it does clear an aem cold air intake.second do i think the part is worth getting? Well i have installed and uninstalled
the bracket center piece at least a dozen times.without the
front brace the frontend flexes more.with the brace the car
seems more flat and linear going around corners.it seems to allow the suspension and tires to do more of the work.if i had
a second chance to buy or not.i would buy.i plan on hitting the track next year and this piece seems to function just as advertised.

Someone should attach a rigid bar and dial indicator so you can measure the amount of movement between diagonal corners of the brace when the body is loaded. You could probably simulate a load by putting both front tires on jacks, and raising one jack.

Then remove the brace and measure the movement between the same points with the same simulated load.

Anybody got the stuff to do that?

I got one installed, I don't believe it provides any more support or stability than the stock one that comes with the car. It just looks a lot better IMO.

Default core support

here's a couple of pics, one of core support installed, This one is not from my z. I saved the picture because it was the first time I came across one with it installed. It looks a lot better than the stock one. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in handling because I try not to dog my nismo.
